Nail Art: Illamasqua Collide & BornPrettyStore Decals!

I looove the Bornprettystore decals I am going to show you today. In fact, you've seen them plenty of times on this blog already!

First, though, let me show you the base of this mani, Illamasqua Collide, by itself. Illamasqua polishes are so amazing, it's a shame Sephora stopped carrying them. You can, however, find them on Haute Look every once in a while for a legit steal!

I picked up Collide because, well, look at it! Neon pink, creme, by it! This is just two coats and topcoat. Perfection in pink!

On to the art!

These BPS stickers are stickers, not waterslide decals. They are about $5, but come with ten designs each and 12 stickers of each design. That is a ton of manicures, a really great value. They are pretty much foolproof to apply, too.

My only issue is that they don't last long... Even with topcoat. they peel at the edges and come up after a few days. I am a picker, so the second they list off the nail, I peel them off and it just looks bad.

Anyway! I do enjoy them while they last!

What do you think of this mani? Have you tried these stickers?

Sephora PLAY! September 2016

September is almost gone, and as usual, I am scrambling to post this in time!  I also, ICYMI, plan to take off the rest of the year of blogging, with exceptions for Favorites, press samples sent to me, and Sephora PLAY! box reviews, like today.

Let's check out September's box. It was a great one!!

I honestly wish they'd go back to boxes, which I find so much more useful for re-purposing. I now have 4 of these bags in my swap pile and zero inkling of what to use them for. Sigh.

...does anyone else's mind travel to the gutter looking at this design?

Atelier Cologne's Sud Magnolia was this month's perfume sample, the 6th item in the 5 item box. It smells floral but clean. Not something I'd re-purchase as it is not special enough to become a signature scent, in my opinion.

Atelier sends a cute postcard with the perfume sample, which is nice.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner!! Eeek! I was soo excited to see this as I love liquid liners. I heard, as we all have, amaaaazing things about this product and it did not disappoint! I have already added this to my Christmas wishlist.

Swatches below!

Sephora included a Rouge Brilliance Lipstick in Love Spell. It's a creamy, shiny pink that is probably good for a variety of skin tones. Swatches below!

Here is Love Spell by Sephora and the Kat Von D liner.

I totally forgot to take a photo of the clear brow gel. But, it's clear. Forgive me?

Ole Henricksen products are quickly becoming favorites. This sheer transformation moisturizer is lovely! I also want a full size soon. I have been mixing a touch of this with my primer to use under foundation and my foundation applies really well with zero dry patches on my skin. So far, so good. And it smells lovely!

There you have it! I am absolutely delighted with this month's Sephora PLAY! box. I will use every single item, with the exception of the bag itself.

Did you get any different items? What do you think of this month's bag?

Nail Art: Zoya Noah, bornprettystore Decals, & La Vita E Bella Waterslide Decals

The title of this post is a mouthful...and the mani that I created is a little cluttered, too. Let me show you!

First, I started with Zoya Noah. You'll see a full fall 2016 Zoya post, I promise.

I do love a neutral creme mani, but this color doesn't mesh well with my skin tone. So, I decided to rummage through my decal and waterslide box to see what I could add:

How pretty are these? I found this random etsy shop, La Vita E Bella, and they have some of the most unique waterslide decals that I have ever seen! I picked up a few and they sent me a few samples, too. I forget which this was, but still..pretty!!

Link to their shop: HERE.

These are typical waterslide decals. To use, you simply cut the design out, as close to the design as possible, then immerse the decals in water for about 10-15 seconds. Slide it off the backing and then apply to the nail.

The La Vita E Bella decals are very high quality because instead of a plastic, the decals are on what feels almost like a super thin cloth! This also makes them harder to move on the nail once they touch it, so make sure to use tweezers with this brand for precise, one-time application.

I don't usually do a thumb included pic, but I loved this too much not to share!

The elusive right hand:

And the last look:

There you have it!

Do you think this is a nail fail or not? It's a little crowded but I think I like it! Your thoughts?

Mask of the Week: Dr. Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution Deep Hydration Sheet Mask

Seriously, is there anything better than K-Beauty for masks? You know I love me some TonyMoly, but I adore Dr. Jardt+ as well! I was fairly certain today's mask - the Dr. Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution Deep Hydration Sheet Mask - came from Ulta until I looked for it on the website and couldn't find it. I guess it came from Sephora? Or a swap?

Back of the package:

Close up:

Aaand my silly face:

What an aaamaaaaazing mask! I love, love, love this. The mask itself was a pain to put my face oddly shaped or what?! My face was sooo soft when I removed this. I left it on for a while - and used a hair mask at the same time - and my face was literally so soft. I need to stock up on this!

Have you tried this or other Dr. Jardt+ masks?

Mask of the Week: Global Beauty Care Aloe Vera Sheet Mask

Today's Mask of the Week post will be short and sweet. Let me tell you why.

1. User error. Meaning me. My photo of the back of the package ended up being blurry, and the photos of me are extra goofy.

2. This mask is gross. GROSS. It's super slimy, didn't stay on well, and, I reiterate, ssssssllliiiiimmmeeee. Yuck. More details below.

Looks normal from the package, right? Well, my friends, looks can be deceiving!

What the heck is going on with this mask?

First, when I took it out of the package, I can only relate the experience to how it must be to meet Slimer from Ghost Busters (any 80's babies here?). I know sheet masks can be a little liquidy, and usually, to me, that's a welcome reason to rub the excess on my hands and arms after I settle the mask in place. NOT WITH THIS ONE. It wasn't excess liquid - it was a vat of slime.

Second, it didn't stay put on my face. Usually, I can at least multi-task and take nail polish off while wearing a mask. NOT WITH THIS ONE. The second I even twitched, this mask migrated south..then east..basically, any direction that wasn't MY FACE.

Third, wussup with the eye patches? Most mask instructions say avoid the eye area. NOT WITH THIS ONE. I have no idea why there are eye flaps.

In conclusion, this brand is officially a NO GO for me. NEXT!!
