January 2019: Favorites & Flops

Hello!

Welcome to the first 2019 edition of Favorites & Flops! Let me show you what I loved and hated this month.

As usual, the good news first. Here are the FAVES:

I am going to try to limit my Faves to just 4 each month so I can spotlight each a little bit.

The e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Cheeky Glow in Peach is something I've been reaching for daily. See below - it is pigmented, creamy, and feels weightless on. Start with a touch and build up, otherwise you risk a heavy looking cheek (unless that's what you're aiming for) and blend out. I use my fingers. It gives a gorgeous, realistic, human looking glow.

Manyo Factory Galatomyces Essence is SO.Damn.Good. Lemme just say it: #holygrail. It goes on like a thicker water, blends with everything else, and has a great price point.

Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask may have made the cut before, but it's here again now and you'll probably see it in the future. The texture is gross - you're legit spreading sticky glue on your lips, so if you have texture issues, steer clear. If, however, you can get past the stickiness, you wake up with pillowy soft lips.

Lastly, another #holygrail for me is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Lashes formula. This has a big, wiggly brush, a wet but forgiving formula, and it lasts all day. Plus, at $10, you can't go wrong.

Here is the Aritaum Mask - if it looks gross, that is because it is.

Here is the blush swatched:

My only FLOP for this month may be a surprise to many.

The Simple Cleansing Wipes and I just don't get along. They made my face SO red, and warm to the touch. I am surprised myself, since they are supposed to be for all skin types, kind to skin, blah blah, but they made my face burn. They did not, however, go to waste because my Mom liked and used them up. Phew! Back to my trusty Formula 10.0.6 I go.

xoxo,
Lacey
