If there is one KB product that everyone should try, it is a peeling gel!
Skin Food's Pineapple Peeling Gel is inexpensive, easy to grab from Ulta, and is super effective!
So, we all already know to throw out that old school St. Ive's Apricot Scrub crap, right!? Exfoliators with plastic anythings are a NO as well - they pollute the environment and end up in our oceans. Many exfoliators are also too rough for the skin.
A peeling GEL, on the other hand, has nothing too abrasive and doesn't rub anything against or into your skin. Instead, like the directions say, you take a tiny bit - similar to the amount on my hand, here, and rub circular motions on clean, DRY skin. Avoid the eye area, of course.
As you rub, the gel peels up dead skin and just sort of (kinda grossly) rolls it into little balls on your face. My hands aren't super dry, but you can see the effect on my hand, below, well enough to get the point.
You rinse to reveal the softest skin ever!! My skin is fairly sensitive, so I only use this once a week. The under $15 bottle will last me a long time!
It does smell slightly of acid or citrus, definitely a pineapple/tart scent. It also is fairly stingy, again, thanks to the citrus included. I would take the time to do a spot test before trying this if you tend to be sensitive to ingredients.
In sum, I am a huge fan of this and it has replaced all of my physical exfoliators. Give it a go and tell me what you think!
