Mask(s) of The Week: Shea Moisture Instant Rebound Mask & Mask Pack Collagen Sheet Mask

Sometimes you just need to double mask!

To clarify, in case you've missed it, I am a skincare fanatic these days. I do a 9-ish step skincare routine, which usually includes a sheet mask, but there are days when I feel the need to double mask, too. In that case, my routine is as follows:

  • Face wipe to remove makeup
  • Oil cleanse
  • Cream cleanse
  • First Mask (a heavier, wash off, detoxing formula)
  • Toner
  • Essence
  • Emulsion
  • Serum
  • Second Mask (sheet mask, usually a hydrating or brightening formula)
  • Eye Cream/Neck Cream/Lip mask or heavy balm
  • Moisturizer and/or oil
  • Night Mask

I truly believe that the skin mimics the mind, so my overstressed mind often wrecks havoc on my skin. I found this Shea Moisture Instant Rebound Mask for sale at Ulta and grabbed it! It is specifically for skin and has dragon's blood and coffee cherry as the main ingredients. No idea what those actually are but after using the mask, I am all for them.

The consistency of the Shea Moisture mask is a thick cream. It smells fresh - not like cherry, coffee, or dragons - and applies easily. It does not dry down at all and therefore there is no tightening effect. It feels cool on the skin but doesn't make you cold (if you've experienced this, you know what I mean!) and rinses cleanly to reveal plump, moisturized skin.

I believe the brand of this is actually called Mask Pack, but please correct me if I am wrong. This is your typical hydrating sheet mask.

It came with little eye flaps, so I took the time to lay down and use the flaps - after the photo op, of course.

Excuse me for looking like a 90's grunge chick with my flannel, LOL, but CT is cold! You can see my skin looks super bright and clear after the double mask, and this photo was before my other 425 steps. Super happy with this combo!
