Mani Round Up: January 23, 2018

Hello there!

After a very neon week, I thought it was time to calm down with some neutrals. Or did I?

Julie G Birthday Suit: This is the prettiest soft pink! BS is opaque in just two coats and perfect to work with, usually. Unfortunately, my bottle is like 5 years old, so after I finished this mani, I tossed it. It's been a good run, Birthday Suit.

I wanted a new mani without re-doing my nails, so I did a flower and peace sign mani. Isn't this cute!?

Essie Cocktails and Coconuts: This is not a winter friendly shade for me! Yuck! I love this color when I have a tan, especially on my toes, but I will not be using it on my nails until my skin is no longer this lovely translucent shade of I LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND. The formula is great though, just two coats needed.

China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer: For some reason, whenever it is supposed to snow, I reach for an icy blue polish. WHY!?! No idea, but isn't this pretty? This has a pretty fluid formula (yes, I know it IS a fluid, but you know what I mean) and I did have some trouble with cuticle pooling, but it wasn't too bad. This is three thin coats and topcoat.

Deborah Lippmann Shoshanna: This polish deserves more love! How pretty is this! What you cannot see well in photos is the super subtle sparkle throughout. This is three perfect, thin, easy to apply coats and topcoat. I am not cool enough to get the 'Girls' reference - even the label has 'Girls' on it with four names around it. I am sure this would be easy enough to google, but meh. :)

Color Club Halo Hues Over the Moon: Nail polish friends, remember the hype and fuss over the Halo Hues? The frenzy to buy, the fakes that followed...oh, boy! That was an exciting time in nail polish world, let me tell you. Years later, I still love these! I have this one - perfect in two coats with topcoat - and a pink one.
