Mani Round Up: January 2, 2018

Hello there!

While I hope to keep the Mani Round Up going, I may do every two weeks instead, to let more content on other subjects come more often. What do you think of that idea?

I didn't do too many manis in my absence as I was working my buns off at Ulta - retail and Christmas time is no joke! I did remember to take pics of a few, however, that I wanted to share!

Zoya Payton: I hope that in 2018, Zoya makes more colors with this sparkly formula. I used two coats of Payton and topcoat. It even sparkles in inside lighting!

Orly Prelude to a Kiss: This will always and forever be my OG Holy Grail polish. It looks perfect no matter the time of year, my being tan or pale, or no matter where I am going. Two coats, topcoat, perfect.

Zoya Zanna: I was thinking that this was a basic, no fuss color until I wore it and received a ton of compliments. You never know what other people see! This is two coats and topcoat.

China Glaze Snow Way!: For Christmas eve, I wanted a color that was wintery without being Christmasy. A light blue pearl with a pink shimmer was the perfect answer! This is three coats, as the polish is very sheer, but builds up nicely by the third coat.

Zoya Hannah: For Christmas day I went with a traditional red. Christmas and the 4th of July are pretty much the only days I will reach for a true red. Hannah has a candy paint quality to it that I love - I can safely say this is my favorite red creme.

Zoya Azalea: I thought I liked this color until I removed it and it stained my nails. Buh bye.

Zoya Dot and Essie Petal Pink: Every time I see a report about the British Royals, the ladies are sporting the most perfect, light neutral manis. I also recently read that the Queen's favorite polish is Essie Ballet Slippers. While I am not a full throttle Anglophile, I do love the British family, so until I purchase Ballet Slippers, I made my own version with a coat of Zoya Dot and two coats of Essie Petal Pink.

Lime Crime LavenDAIRY: I know that there are a lot of opinions about Lime Crime, so let's just focus on the color! I did two coats of this and topcoat. It is brighter IRL and just a touch lighter than the new Pantone color of the year.

New Year's Eve Nails! Cover Girl City Lights, I Love Nail Polish Iconic, L'oreal Masked Affair, Wet & Wild Studio Glitter and Gold, OPI This Gown Needs a Crown and China Glaze Luxe and Lush: Sparkly, layered, bright!

Essie Ballet Slippers: My first mani of 2018 is Essie Ballet Slippers. If Kate Middleton rocks it, I will, too. I actually purchased this today, specifically to rock it often throughout the new year. This is two coats and topcoat - it is suprisingly opaque for such a light, pastel color, and pretty creamy, too.
