Sephora PLAY! May 2017

Unboxing time!

Today I will show you what arrived in my May 2017 PLAY! box from Sephora. While last month was a little lackluster for me, this month has some awesome new finds! However, I am working with a current skincare routine that I love, so I haven't tried most of these items yet. This is more of an unboxing than review, so I hope you don't mind.

This month's theme is  Beauty on the Rise! According to the site, and paperwork enclosed, the products are "a tour of cult-favorites, hard-to-find formulas, and up and coming brands that are making their mark right now." Cool!

Instead of the cloth bag, this month came with a sturdy plastic square case...bag...container... with an envelope flap that snaps closed. It is quite sturdy! I am going on two trips in June, so this came at a perfect time to go through the airport.

Group shot:

Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil: Love this brand! I was really excited to see this as I am now a double cleanser daily. Perfect for my upcoming trips, too, so I can continue my quality skincare on the go. Smells SO good and camellia oil is an ingredient that I have been seeing in my KB products and it def agrees with my skin.

Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask: I love a good hair mask! This is to be used in the shower, after shampooing. It features oil from the rahua nut, found in rainforests.

belif Hungarian Water Essence: another travel friendly product that I need as a step in my routine! Per the website, this is a KBeauty staple (yep) and essence is applied before moisturizer to really penetrate the skin. I haven't tried this brand but I am looking forward to it!

treStiQue Highlight and Perfect Multi Purpose Stick in Maldives Luminescent: was I the only one who didn't know this was a Sephora brand? I have tried this brand in ipsy and other sub boxes. I wouldn't consider it a luxury brand but apparently I should? I swatched this below - it is a pretty universal rose gold shade, perfect for your cupid's bow, cheekbones, brow bones, or wherever you prefer some shine.

NudeStix Magnetic Matte Lipcolor in Greystone: this is a super pigmented matte pencil. It is supposed to have 9 hour wear, hence the "magnetic" part, but the middle of my lip flaked off while I ate lunch. It is also a super rich brown color, which may not be for everyone. Swatched below!

Here are the treStiQue and NudeStix products. The matte lippie is super pigmented...until you eat something.

Tocca Stella: last but not least, we have this month's perfume sample. Stella is light, almost citrusy, and nice. I like most Tocca scents, so I was happy to try this one out.

There you have it! I am super excited to try the Tatcha, rahua, and belief products. The treStiQue is handy and the NudeStix lippie is a color I would never purchase myself, but is good to have in my collection for some random event, I am sure. In sum, I am very happy with this box. Yay, Sephora!

What did you get in your PLAY! box this month?
