Mask of the Week: NRK Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask & Purito Vitamin C

I am in a fabulous Korean Beauty and Skin Care group on Facebook. The ladies leave excellent recommendations and while I don't get to try everything that tempts me, once in a while I have spotted a product that I just had to try!

This week's mask, the NRK Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask was exactly that for me - a must try! I found a bundled deal online and splurged, hehe. I am happy to report that this was a great purchase!

Snail essence is a very popular ingredient in K-Beauty, including to generally just help repair damaged skin. In case you're wondering, snail essence feels no different than any other essence that I have tried and there is no weird odor.

I added a couple drops of my Purito Vitamin C Serum before and after mask application. Love this stuff, but I am not sure if I love it enough to buy a full size or just keep my fingers crossed for more samples from eopenmarket.

And cue the goofy face pic:

I am a huge fan of this mask!

As I mentioned, it has no difference in smell or feel with snail essence being the major ingredient. It smells very clean and nice, not odd at all. I dislike the very wide nose opening though, and I felt like I had to tug it around my face quite a bit to get an ideal fit. It stayed pretty moist for the full 20 mins and my skin felt SO soft after. I followed it with Vit C serum and moisturizer for softness that stayed until the next day.

In sum, I def recommend the NRK Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask.

Lacey

Zoya Sophisticates

The Zoya Sophisticates collection is here! There are two "pearl" shades, two "metallic" shades, and 8 creme shades. Let me show you each one! I am going to lift the description from the site, LOL. #lazyblogger

But first, group shot:

Zoya McKenna: "refined pearl in a soft almond" is the description of this polish. It does have a "pearl" like finish to it, but it is very subtle. Watch those brush strokes though, they can show if you're not careful.

Zoya Tabitha: this is the other "pearl" polish but in a hunter green. I actually liked this shade more than I thought I would! The pearl finish makes it quite unique...but, oh boy, those brush strokes! Two coats shown here.

Zoya Gal: No doubt, this baby is named after Gal Gadot, aka Wonderwoman! I wish they had given her a more powerful color, because this one is lame-o. Zoya describes this as a "smokey, iridescent, peridot gold metallic." Ugly, LOL. My camera didn't like it and…

Lip Slut: F*ck Trump Liquid Lipstick!

Perhaps I will lose a few followers for this, but I am over it. Trump is an awful President. He does not care to unite the country, and, quite the opposite, seeks to divide people from their neighbors and loved ones.

In response to his ridiculous response to the Aug 11-12 events in Charlottesville, Virginia, Lip Slut decided to send some of the proceeds from their now infamous F*ck Trump lipstick to those who suffered.

Honestly, this product has been for sales since November 2016. I didn't buy it then because I hoped (and prayed and hoped and prayed) that, if he were elected, Trump would be great...

So, lemme show ya my new lippie, k?

I wasn't expecting the formula to be great...BUT IT IS!

The color is quite universally flattering, I would think. The formula feels like a Colour Pop matte to me, and the staying powder is great. Win, win!

PS: Fuck Trump!
