This month I have a couple new items and a couple of old reliable items that I gravitate towards constantly. Let me show you my favorites from April!
Clinique Pep Start Hydro Blur Moisturizer: I received this sample from a recent Sephora PLAY! box. It is a combo of a moisturizer but also blurs the pores to get ready for makeup like a primer. Realistically, it could work as a two-in-one, but I do moisturizer, BB cream, then primer, so though I wont repurchase this, I really enjoyed using it.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion: This is a holy grail moisturizer for so many people and it is easy to see why...although I do have a few issues with it. The scent, while nice and clean, is pretty strong. It also doesn't blend too well with a few of the other toners and emulsions that I have used lately. In general, I will always have a bottle on hand but I continue my search for the perfect daily moisturizer for me.
Tarte Tartiest Quick Lip Paint in OG: I saw this randomly in Ulta and decided to snag it! I am SO happy I did. Swatched below, you'll see that this is a perfect 'my lips but better' color, ideal for any day, time, or event. It is not hydrating at all, but not as drying as many other matte colors I have tried.
Wet& Wild MegaGlo Cheek and Lip Tint in Kiss Me If You Can: Hello, summer blush! This is a lip and cheek tint in a swivel tube that is the perfect flushed cheek color for me. I dislike the color on my lips though, isn't that weird? To use it, I literally tap my index and middle fingers of each hand on the top of the product, then tap onto the apples of my cheeks. Love!
Be A Bombshell Eye Base in Submissive: I have had this product for forever! It is about time it gets some recognition on the blog. This is a thick cream product, light brown with sheen, that is supposed to be the base color for other shadows but I love it best solo.
Japonesque Velvet Touch Finishing Powder Gold Powder Brush: I snagged this brush at Ulta in a set with a setting powder, also finished in this gorgeous gold color compact. This brush is flat, straight, and super soft. I use it for applying bronzer to the spot below my cheek bones, from my ear to almost my mouth. I then sweep it side to side to diffuse the color.
Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in Light: Another holy grail product! This is the thickest foundation that I have ever tried and for that reason, it's also the most full coverage foundation I have ever tried. Swatched below! It is a THICK product, you've been warned!
Swatches! From the top down:
- Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in Light
- Tarte Tartiest Quick Lip Paint in OG
- MegaGlo Cheek and Lip Tint in Kiss Me If You Can
- Be A Bombshell Eye Base in Submissive
Just one fail this month!
Pacifica Wake up Beautiful Super Hydration Sleepover Mask: You will also see this in my Empties Report later this week because while I didn't like it and won't repurchase, I didn't dislike it enough not to use it up. The consistency of this sleep mask is THICK, like a paste, white in color, and hard to rub into the skin. It doesn't sink into the skin after a whole night either, as I woke up with white pilly lotion bits around my nose and along my hairline. The smell is pleasant, though, and the company is cruelty free and vegan, FYI.
That is it for this month!
