The mask of the week post is baaaaack! I cannot believe I haven't done one of these since September!
I have been using masks more than ever, especially in the cold weather, so I have plenty to show you. Of course, I have to start with the product that makes me look like Shrek!
I received the Acure Cell Stimulating Facial Mask in a swap. "Cell stimulating" sounds a little harsh, so this is not something I'd think to purchase, but it's def something I'd swap for so I could use it once in a while without spending money. I loove the community of women in my swap groups!
The back of the package made me chuckle. Anything that promises to make me look like a green sea monster is a total win in my book.
I couldn't even take a pic without smirking, LOL. I laughed every time I saw my face! This has a grainy texture - I think "stimulating" is key for exfoliating, but it was a gentle grain and not filled with harsher or large particles. It was, however, stingy after removal and my skin needed a thick layer of moisturizer afterwards.
In conclusion, after one use, I decided to put this in the shower instead and use it as a once-per-week exfoliant for my face, neck, and chest. It is too strong as a mask for me but works well if I use it like a face scrub and rinse right off.
Have you tried this product? What do you think?
Have you ever used a product for a completely different use that suited your needs better?
Let me know in the comments!
