I am sorry this post is a few days late as I have not been feeling well at all! I actually missed two days of work, I can't even remember the last time that happened. Anyway, can you believe March is over? In Connecticut, the weather has been so back and forth - we are expecting snow during the first week of April, no fooling - that it doesn't feel like a particular month, if you know what I mean.
Just like last month, this post is going to highlight my favorite manicures and favorite beauty products. These are items I didn't necessarily purchase or receive as press samples within the month but might be items that I've just picked up over and over throughout the past few weeks.
Ready? First, check out my four favorite manicures:
Top row, from left: I Love Nail Polish Sandy Baby, Literary Lacquers My Whirlwind Other Half
Bottom row, from left: Literary Lacquers Ventomarme, Zoya Aster
Next up...beauty products!
First up, this is Veganese, a hair conditioner by Lush. I started trying Lush's thickest conditioners for dry hair, which I do have, but those were too heavy and made my hair oily. I received a sample of Veganese, which is supposed to be a lighter formula, and was hooked. It smells like lemon, makes my hair feel like silk, and doesn't weigh it down.
Secondly, I found this CVS brand mask at CVS (no, really?). It was $7 or so for a full size squeeze tube of honey dew & chamomile overnight mask, which is an awesome deal. I also love the packaging! 7th Heaven makes a packet formula, which is lovely, but I don't always need the whole packet and end up wasting some unless I take the time to depot it or attempt to seal up the foil packet. With this tube, I can control exactly how much I use, bring it back and forth easily to my boyfriend's house, and not waste a single drop.
My third favorite item is Too Faced Bronzer in Milk Chocolate Soliel. I have had this for a while but tend to reach for blush in the winter and bronzer in the summer. Time to welcome this beauty back into my rotation. I also used it as an eyeshadow for a no-makeup-makeup look. This is a cult favorite for good reason - it's pigmented, blendable, and the colors flatter everyone.
Lastly, this is Ultra Balm by Lush. I am working on a sample now but plan to repurchase. Similar to Vaseline, this is an all purpose salve, perfect for any dry spots. I have a spot on the side of my nose that is constantly dry and I've been patting this on before bed...seems to be helping!
And there you have it. What items were you loving this month?
