L'Oreal EverPure 6in1 Cleaning Bomb - Influenster Review

I am lucky enough to be part of Influenster, which matches you up with products to try and review. Influenster sends surveys about new items and if you fit the test group, they send full sized items. I was sent this gigantic bottle of L'Oreal's new Ever Pure 6 in 1 Cleansing Balm. There are 3 different formulas and based on my answers to the survey, I was sent the "For Colored Hair" type.

Influenster also sends a info card so you can learn more about the product.

This 6 in 1 balm promises to cleanse, detangle, treat, soften, add shine, and condition. It is a one step process and calls for no need to use conditioner after this. You use 6-8 pumps for shoulder length hair or more if needed.

I ended up needing at least 15 pumps to saturate my hair.  I used this for four days in a row but then just couldn't use it any more. In short, I am not a fan. My hair became an oily, greasy, crinkly, frizzy, thick, coarse hot mess. It was hard to brush through. When I did brush it, it instantly frizzed up. My hair felt about 5x as thick as usual, coarse and rough to the touch. It took more time and heat to straighten it.

Honestly, as much as I try to see the positives in items I am sent for review, I have nothing good to say about this. For what it is worth, my hair reacts like this to Wen products, too, the first of the "cleansing balm" type products. If you like Wen, this may be a awesomely priced alternative for you, but unfortunately, not for me.

What do you think? Have you tried it?

xoxo,
Lacey

Thanks to @Influenster and @lorealusa #cleansingbalms for letting me try this product.

  1. My hair can't handle any sort of all in one. I will wind up looking like a chia pet. I do like L'Oreal Ever Pure Shampoo and Conditioner. The "Moisture" version leaves my hair looking and great and easy to brush through.
