Did you see the title of this post? Flowers on a fence mani? What does that even mean!?
Let me show you!
It may not be for everyone, but I absolutely love how this manicure turned out! Besides the fact that it took forever to do, I really enjoyed it and rocked it for about a week. That is pretty much forever in polish blogger time.
Let's back up a little to see how this came together.
First, I started with two coats of my favorite peach, Purity by Illamasqua. If you haven't tried this brand, I highly recommend it. The creme formula is just perfection as even this usually patchy shade is opaque in two coats. This is one of the first higher end brands that I tried and I love every polish I have from Illamasqua.
Next, I added decals from bornprettystore.com. They are full finger sticky decals, not waterslide. I am still getting the hang of the design. Getting them perfectly flat is really tough for me! I wonder if there is too much c-curve in my nail or it's just user error? Haha, whatever, I will keep trying.
I liked this look alone but I was thinking it reminded me of an old wrought iron fence. I decided flower decals would make this look complete. I pulled out a variety of rose-like waterslide decals and applied them randomly.
I liked this so much I even took photos of my non-swatching hand!
I sealed everything with a final coat of HK Girl topcoat. What do you think? Leave comments below or on FB.
