Takko Lacquer: Lavender Macaron!

My first and only Takko Lacquer is on the blog today! Takko is one of those indie brands that has developed a cult following, like Enchanted or Nerd.  Takkos seem to sell out quickly...and then get resold for quite the markup on retail.  I hesitated on jumping on the bandwagon until I saw this beauty of a blogsale for less-than-retail price and then I jumped on, full throttle. Hello bandwagon, my name is Lacey.

Lavender Macaron is right up my alley, color wise, and is a lovely but slightly sheer polish.  This is 3 coats with topcoat.

Slightly unreleated, but did you know there is a difference between a macaroon and a macaron? #themoreweknow

Anyway! The base color is a creamy lavender and there are lavender meets silver flakkies. A close up, you ask? Sure!

The formula was easy to work with and dry time was fine. The only drawback is the sheerness, which isn't really a big deal. I did use three coats - isn't that fairly normal for a practically pastel shade?

While I do love this polish, I am not a fan of the fast sell out restock madness that comes with some indies, so I believe I'll be stalking blog sales for more of this brand. There is a lovely nude shade I am on the hunt for, so I'll show you if I ever happen to get it!
