New-to-me (and YOU) indie - Ladybug Lacquer: Desert Days Collection

Today I have a new-to-me indie brand, Ladybug Lacquer, to show you.

Guess what? It's new to you, too! Ladybug Lacquer polishes will launch for sale on Monday, May 25, 2015, with a pre-order beginning on May 22!

Kimberly sent me the 5 piece Desert Days collection to show you.  With one cream, one duochrome, one jelly and two holos, there is something for everyone.

*Please note that 25 cents from each polish purchased will be donated to help stop human trafficking.  This is a purchase you can feel good about!*

Group shot:

Sunset Popsicles is an amazingly vibrant orange creme polish. The formula is perfect. It's self leveling, creamy, and dries quickly with a gorgeous shine. This is two coats plus topcoat. I am not usually an orange fan but this is the perfect summer shade!

For the inspiration, Kimberly writes: "A bright creamy orange. Inspired by my two year old daughters favorite color and memories of eating sticky popsicles on sunny days."

Holos next! Wildflower Bouquet is a lovely purple holo. This one is described as: "A dusty purple with a scattered holo. Opaque in 1-2 coats. Inspired by soft beauty wildlfowers bring to the harsh desert."

I used two coats for these pics and added topcoat.  The formula is great, no issues at all. This color is just beautiful!!

Triple Digit Temps is a flattering red holo. It is described as: "A red linear holo with slight jelly formula. Inspired by the blazing red heat of the Mojave Desert." Like Wildflowers, this is opaque in two coats and I added topcoat for the photos you see below.  So pretty!

Cactus Juice has a great name that totally matches the polish. This is a squishy green jelly with holo glitter - it really reminds me of a juice with its jelly consistency. I used four coats and topcoat for these swatches. Formula was typical of a jelly: sheer, easy to build, OK dry time. Make sure to wait a minute between coats!

Described as "A fun green jelly filled with micro holographic glitters. This color inspired by what we think the inside of a cactus should look like."

Last but not least, this is Before The Sunrise, described as "A beautiful duochrome that shifts between purple, magenta, and blue. This color is reminiscent of the quietest and coolest time of day, just before the sun beings to rise."

This polish deserved more photos since it changes color depending on the light you see it in. I used three coats and topcoat for the pics you see here. I found the first coat surprisingly sheer but the second coat made it practically opaque. I added the third for good measure and depth for the photos. The formula was a little thin on this so go slowly and wait between coats.

And there you have it!  Out of these 5, I must say that Triple Digit Temps is my favorite. It is a gorgeous, flattering, sparkly holo that I will wear all year long.

In all, I am impressed with this brand! For the debut collection, there are a variety of finishes and the formulas are all spot on! Can't wait to see what comes next.
