Salon Perfect Spring 2015! 6 Pretty Pastels

Spring! Pastels! Sunshine!

Well, no sunshine yet in Connecticut...but we are getting there, hopefully.

Salon Perfect decided to help me bring some spring to my nails and sent me the 6 piece spring collection for review! You can find these shades exclusively at Walmart (except for the one closest to me in Old Saybrook, CT, which never has anything new - so even bigger thanks to SP for sending these to me).

Check out the group shot below.  I found the application of all 6 to be quite similar so I won't write about each one. Honestly, I was shocked at how creamy, opaque and NOT streaky these were! Each polish needed only two coats - yes, including the yellow!  All the swatches show two coats with Salon Perfect topcoat.

Ready to see some closeups?

First up, Lilacking Control is a medium toned lavender.  Lovely color, lovely application.

Next, this pretty blue is Cold As Ice. It is not a robin's egg blue, not a bright blue, but a very pastel sky blue. Again, I feel the need to say that the application was smooth and opaque in two coats, no streaking, snagging, pulling, balding, nothing. Very impressive!

This creamy pink is Put A Ring On It. Two coats, topcoat, and pure pastel perfection!

Georgia Peach is the lone shimmer polish in the group. I am loving peaches this season (like all seasons, really) so this is my favorite of the collection. The shimmer is very subtle, but it shines in the light and is very pretty.

Mellow Yellow was tough to photograph. It is slightly more mellow (see what I did there?) in color and not as bright as my photos look. The middle shot is closest to the true color. Can I just reiterate again that this is a 2 coater pastel yellow? Yaaaaasss.

Last but not least, this muted sea green is called Mint Julep. A lovely green with a lovely application and no lobster hands to be seen!

Lovely, right? My pick is Georgia Peach. Love the shade and slight shimmer.  Though the colors are not the most unique and you may be thinking you have similar colors in your collection, the formula of these make them awesome, unique, and MUST HAVEs for the pastel lover (like myself).

I am truly impressed with the quality of Salon Perfect polishes that I have tried.  Keep 'em coming, SP!
