My New Favorite Spring Color For 2015!

I am not sure when it hit me, but I have found myself buying blue polishes!

Not just any particular shade of blue, but a cheerful, periwinkle, creamy blue.

In fact, when I was going through my recent photos, I realized I bought three very similar (BUT NOT THE SAME) polishes...and I love them all!

Let's take a look!

The first one I picked up is Spring Showers by L'Oreal. This is from their Spring 2015 line, inspired by spring and flowers and all things girly and delicate.  I actually passed up the pinks in this collection to grab SS.

This is two coats with topcoat.  I was pleasantly surprised with how creamy, opaque and quick drying this polish turned out to be! I will be keeping my eye out for more L'Oreal polishes.  This one pulls slightly more purple than the other two.

The second one I picked up was part of the Spring 2015 China Glaze Road Trippin' collection called Boho Blues.  I swapped for this, sight unseen, but knew it would be similar to L'Oreal's Spring Showers.

This is three coats with topcoat. It is creamy and dries quickly, although it def needed three coats.  I love CG creams, although I know a few people who do not. This one wont give you trouble, if you're on the fence about them. This color pulls more blue than Spring Showers.

Last but not least, Wear Skinny Jeans by Wet n Wild is part of their new Spring 2015 line.  Wet n Wild is so affordable...so I bought the whole 6 piece collection. (Plus an additional green for my green polish loving AU nail mail buddy).

This is 3 coats with no topcoat. Can you see how it looks slightly more satin in the finish? The other two dried glossy and topcoat made them shinier, this was a little different.  There is also the most subtle hint of shimmer. It is the most pastel of the three, slightly lavender in tone.

When did Wet n Wild come out with this super wide brush?  Am I the only one with thinner finger nails? Heck, if that's the case, my nails are the only things "thin" about me, LOL. Actually, I have the world's smallest wrists, too. Maybe it's all connected! Anyway, the brush is OK but for me, on my pinkies at least, careful application and a touch of cleanup are required.

As you can see, all three are SLIGHTLY different.  I said slightly!  My pick of the three, if you get just one, would be L'Oreal Spring Showers. I think this would be the most flattering on all skintones. The purple undertones make it pop and the glossy finish looks great with or without topcoat.

Which do you like best?

What is your favorite color for spring nails?

xoxo,

Lacey

  1. I like Wet N Wild's version best! But Loreal is close.
