In my humble opinion, Barielle does not get enough love. I am quickly falling head over heels for the creamy creme formulas, including a couple today that immediately found themselves living in my "Mainstream Favorites" drawer.
The 6 piece Jet Setter collection was sent to me for review, and review I shall. The Jet Setter collection has destination based names and the theme is quite clever. There are green cremes here, but overall, like the Zoya Wishes collection, this isn't traditional holiday - and I love it more for that reason!
As you can see, there are 2 metallics and 4 cremes. The colors coordinate well, two from the brown family, two green, and two blue/purple. If you've been here before, you probably already know that metallic polishes are not my fave, so let's look at those first and them get to the creme babies.
First, this sparkling brown polish is Autumn in Seoul. This is two coats. Formula was fine and I adore the color, the brush stroke finish just isn't my favorite.
Next up, Midnight In Paris is described as a blue/purple, but it pulls a strong blue on me. Again, the formula was fine but the brush strokes just throw me off a bit.
Creme polish time! There are two greens that are fairly close...similar but not the same! The darker of the two is Irish Eyes, a creamy green sage. The formula is just perfect. This is two coats, perfect consistency with zero pooling, pulling, or tugging. The dry time is faster than the average creme.
The lighter green, more of a creamy moss, is Gondola Ride. The formula is spot on, just perfect. This is two coats, no topcoat.
I tried a bit of freehanded stripey nail art. Not my finest, but I wanted to use both greens so you could see the difference.
I saved my two favorites for last! This perfect neutral is Kiss Me Kate, perfect in two coats. This is my current pedi of choice. There isn't much else to say besides the formula is perfect and the color is neutral yet pink enough to look warm on the skin. Love!
Classic shade for a french mani!
Last but not least, Rain In Spain is a gorgeous lilac creme. I love this polish!! It's creamy, perfect, two coat loveliness. I was most excited about this polish when I opened my mail and it is, by far, my favorite of the collection.
I used Rain in Spain and Irish Eyes in a saran wrap mani. It is my first try, so be nice, haha.
What do you think of this collection? I am a huge fan and am looking forward to more Barielle collections!
