Day 1 of A Girl Obsessed Week: 4 NEW Glitter Toppers - Cupid's Funeral, Pink-ing Up The Pieces, Kaleidoscope Eyes & Beautimouse Bowtique

Today is the first day of an unofficial A Girl Obsessed week!

If you're new to the blog, A Girl Obsessed is run by one of my favorites in the polish world, Sam, who is my nail tech guru and real life friend.

*Read to the bottom of THIS post for a MBHM exclusive coupon to the AGO Store!*

Sam has been BUSY and has over a dozen new polishes coming out.  I have a texture, mattes, glitter toppers, a holo, and shreds to show you this week.  I decided it would be easier to do them by TYPE and not collection, so today we have 4 polishes that are clear based glitter toppers!!!!!  Today I have:
  • Pink-ing Up The Pieces - pink & white
  • Cupid's Funeral - black, white & holo bows!!
  • Kaleidoscope Eyes - multi colored
  • BeautiMouse Bowtique - pink, yellow, white glitter, stars, bows, Mickeys!
First up, let's take a look at the OH SO pretty, Pink-Ing Up The Pieces.  It has white, pink, and slightly holo glitters.  Shown over China Glaze You Drive Me Coconuts:

This is a glitter BOMB of epic proportions!  No issues with this at all.  Dry time was actually noticeably quick.  This is two coats over China Glaze Tart-Y For The Party:

And a couple shots with it used as a gradient over Hey Baby, a Gwen Stefani OPI polish:

Next up is Cupid's Funeral.  Without sounding like a jerk, this is my favorite because I asked Sam to make it for me!!  I am spoiled because my friend makes polish!!  This beauty came to life because I texted Sam with a "hey, I haven't seen this yet.  Can you make this for me?" and she did!!  It is black, white, and has holo bows.  This is shown over Zoya Perrie:

Next, I had to go more traditional Valentine, so here it is over a red by Out The Door and then over He Loves Me Not, a red matte also by A Girl Obsessed, which you'll see later this week.  The formula is great.  The bows were a little hard to get out for me so Sam is going to add more bows to the polishes, you'll have zero issues whatsoever!

Next up is Kaleidoscope Eyes, which has multi-colored hex in a clear base. Shown over Zoya Sailor and Sinful Colors Nice Stems from the Spring 2014 collection. I have no problems at all with the polish, but it does look much better over a lighter base, in my opinion.

The swatches show two coats over the bases, no topcoat. The polish has a great formula, no complaints at all.

And, last but not at all least, I know quite a few of you are going to be SO psyched for this - BeautiMouse Bowtique!! When I saw this in our AGO Polish Group, I knew it would look amazing over a mint green, so here it is over OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. BB is a clear base with pink bows, yellow stars, black mickey heads, and various micro glitters.

I sent Sam a text as I was swatching to tell her how GREAT this polish is! I was wary of such big glitters, but mickey heads were just popping right out of the bottle, as were the bows and stars. I def moved the pieces around on the nail, but I had zero issues getting them ON the nail from the bottle. This is a really well made polish!

I also did it over Birthday Suit by Julie G, a super pretty cream colored polish:
