China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection: 7 of 12 Colors Swatched!

Every year, it seems as if the holidays arrive quicker and quicker! I cannot believe we are only a little over a month away from Christmas!  China Glaze is helping me to feel festive with their 2013 HoliGlaze collection.

CHINAGLAZE-HAPPYHOLIGLAZE-2013

Today I have 7 polishes to show you, 6 press samples and one I purchased, and this collection is so varied in finishes that there is surely going to be something for everyone.

First up, a solid red foil, Just Be-Claws.  This is a very holiday appropriate red, and so shiny.  Two coats applied perfectly. First, without flash, and with:

Next up, Mingle With Kringle.  This was the polish I was most looking forward to and I picked this up in my local beauty supply shop.  My swatch shows two coats, no topcoat.  I love this gold shade! I know I'll pick this up again.

All Wrapped Up is a micro glitter polish, opaque in three coats.   Would you call this blue? Purple?  It dried slightly matte so I added a layer of topcoat for shine in my pictures.  My photos were taken outside, too, and I did use the flash.

Put A Bow On It is a cranberry, berry colored micro glitter.  I love this one!!  You shouldn't be surprised.  Like All Wrapped Up, this was opaque in three thin coats, easy to work with, and dried slightly matte.  My swatches do have a topcoat to amp up the shine:

Be Merry, Be Bright is a red and purple glitter topcoat.  I layered two coats over China Glaze Dance Baby, one of my favorite pink polishes.  This feels more New Years Eve than Christmas to me, but I like it.

Bells Will Be Blinging is a blue and gold glitter topcoat.  It has bar glitter, which I am not really a fan of, but this bar glitter is holo so...pass at least.  This is two coats over Color Club Poetic Hues:

Lastly, Snow One Like You has a cute name.  It sort of looks like snow.  I do love a texture polish but I think the addition of extra glitter made it a little to thick.  I have read a few reviews and hardly anyone seems to like it.  I am sorry to say, I have hopped on that bandwagon.  What do you think?  This is two coats, no topcoat.

  1. every review i have seen hates the texture one too, but i kind of like it! not in an full mani but like an accent. i think it would be cute to do a red like Just Be Claws with Snow One Likes You on the tips like fur on Santa's coat, maybe a belt mid-nail.
