New Indie Brand Alert! Review of Cosmos Lacquer: Fairy Princess & Still A Planet - Pluto

I have two polishes to show you from a not-even-open-yet Indie polish company called Cosmos Lacquer.  The fabulous woman behind the brand is a friend of mine, so I was lucky enough to get a chance to review two polishes.  (Opinions belong to moi, thank you!).

Here is what I received:

And, believe it or not, I am NOT starting this review with the pink polish! Gasp! Although, I must point out, Tia spoiled me by sending me a pink since she knows I am a pink polish-aholic. :)
First up is Still A Planet - Pluto, a blue holo polish. It is just stunning. Tia has a great formula going on. This is three thin coats of SAP-P, which I really liked with a holo because I can control the intensity and build up as much shine as I'd like:

With flash:

And another without:

Love, love, loooove this polish! I'm not sure if I've loved a blue polish as much as I adore this. I have zero complaints about this polish, it's just really lovely.

Next is the pink polish of the pair, Fairy Princess. It is a rose colored base with scattered gold circle glitter. This is also 3 thin coats, and I love the finished look. Here it is without flash:

Looks sort of ho-hum, nothing special, right? Check it out in better lighting!

Now THAT is what we came here for! This polish had a thinner formula, like Still A Planet, but I really liked it. The polish to glitter mix was also very good and the glitters do not drown out in the polish at all:

Love them both, but for the color, formula, and shine, Pluto wins my heart. WHO AM I!!?!? Choosing a blue polish over a pink?! This is serious, LOL!!!

For now, follow Cosmos Lacquer on Facebook and watch for openings/announcements/sneak peeks!

Zoya Sophisticates

The Zoya Sophisticates collection is here! There are two "pearl" shades, two "metallic" shades, and 8 creme shades. Let me show you each one! I am going to lift the description from the site, LOL. #lazyblogger

But first, group shot:

Zoya McKenna: "refined pearl in a soft almond" is the description of this polish. It does have a "pearl" like finish to it, but it is very subtle. Watch those brush strokes though, they can show if you're not careful.

Zoya Tabitha: this is the other "pearl" polish but in a hunter green. I actually liked this shade more than I thought I would! The pearl finish makes it quite unique...but, oh boy, those brush strokes! Two coats shown here.

Zoya Gal: No doubt, this baby is named after Gal Gadot, aka Wonderwoman! I wish they had given her a more powerful color, because this one is lame-o. Zoya describes this as a "smokey, iridescent, peridot gold metallic." Ugly, LOL. My camera didn't like it and…

Lip Slut: F*ck Trump Liquid Lipstick!

Perhaps I will lose a few followers for this, but I am over it. Trump is an awful President. He does not care to unite the country, and, quite the opposite, seeks to divide people from their neighbors and loved ones.

In response to his ridiculous response to the Aug 11-12 events in Charlottesville, Virginia, Lip Slut decided to send some of the proceeds from their now infamous F*ck Trump lipstick to those who suffered.

Honestly, this product has been for sales since November 2016. I didn't buy it then because I hoped (and prayed and hoped and prayed) that, if he were elected, Trump would be great...

So, lemme show ya my new lippie, k?

I wasn't expecting the formula to be great...BUT IT IS!

The color is quite universally flattering, I would think. The formula feels like a Colour Pop matte to me, and the staying powder is great. Win, win!

PS: Fuck Trump!
