Sometime in 2012, Wet&Wild released a series of 6 polishes named after your favorite TV Show growing up, Saved By The Bell!
I did love this show, and also, my makeup hating Boyfriend loves this show, too. Yes, present tense. We still watch reruns whenever they are on, and for a while, he was DVRing the reruns, LOL. Guess I shouldn't complain much when I am currently making him watch Kung Fu Panda cartoons, right?
Anyway, I could NOT find these polishes anywhere, but my girl Sam from A Girl Obsessed was able to and send them over - thanks Sam!!
Top row is: Pin Em Slater, Fashionista Lisa, Straight A Jesse
Middle row: Pom Pom Kelly, Chick Magnet Zack
Front: Nerd Alert Screech
OK, enough chatting! Onto the pretties! Ladies first!
Here is my favorite, Fashionista Lisa! All pics show TWO coats unless otherwise specified, and have a coat of NYC New York Color clear as topcoat.
Straight A Jesse is a reddish/orange creme. It pulls orange on my skintone:
Lastly, Pom Pom Kelly is a gorgeous neon pink creme with perfect application! (Pinky is Revlon Sugar Glaze). I love all three of the female character inspired colors:
OK, on to the guys! Chick Magnet Zack has the same perfect formula as the Kelly, Lisa, and Jesse shades, but Screech and Slater are sheerer and required 3-4 coats to cover the nail line fully.
Check it out below.
First, Chick Magnet Zack, a gorgeous dark teal. This one also has some fine shimmer to it, but my pictures didn't pick it up well:
Now, the trickier polishes. Pin Em Slater, if you can see, caused some fine bubbles to rise up my polish. None of the other ones did that! I did paint my nails right before bed so maybe I got impatient and didn't let them dry? The color is a great highlighter yellow, so I'll have to give this another go.
Aaand, last but not least is Nerd Alert Screech! I dont have any other color like this, so I was happy to see it. I think it'll be great for St Patrick's Day too. This, like Slater, needed 3 coats to get rid of that pesky visible nail line:
Ok, those are the 6 Saved By The Bell polishes! I think they did a great job of choosing colors for the characters. I wonder if Lark, Tiffani, or Elizabeth (the real life names of the female characters) are going to purchase the polishes just because they are named after their characters? I know I would! LOL.
What do you think of these?
xoox,
Lacey
