First Day of School Mani!!

Today, August 28th, is my first day back to teaching.  Every semester, I try to begin as professionally as possible, with neutral makeup, hair, and nails.  I mean business when I am in the classroom!

With that in mind, I removed my latest neon mani and replaced it with something professional yet shiny and of course, pretty and feminine.

I purchased my first and only butter LONDON, All Hail The Queen, from my fabulous friend Vienna and after a little bit of stash digging, I knew this would be the perfect polish to wear to school.

After all, I am a history teacher and a huge Royal fan!  My friend Ami and I began a Royal Love page, so if you're interested, join us for pretty pictures of the Dutchess, Kate Middleton, and others here: Royal Appreciation Society!!

AHTQ is a light brown/beige with a gorgeous neutral shimmer throughout.  It is opaque in two coats and a perfect but slightly thin formula.  I can def see how many polish bloggers sing the praises of butter LONDON.

I wanted a little more shimmer and sparkle (magpie over here!! Hi, nice to meet you. Sparkly? Mine, please) so I added a coat of Essie's Luxe Effects As Gold As It Gets and a coat of Seche Vite.

What do you think?  Appropriate for school and the first day?  I'll save the neons for next week ;)
