Sparkly Indie Eye Shadow!! Cosette's Cosmetics Swatches

I will admit that I, like most women, am a magpie.  If something sparkles, it will catch my eye!  Anything shiny, sparkly, or glittery?  Bring it on!

However, as I have mentioned before, I am a teacher in my other life (haha) so I need to mute down the makeup most of the week and look professional.  I tend to use my Urban Decay NAKED palette (and they are remaining cruelty free, holla!!) and then, for just a touch of sparkle, I add a tiny bit of Goomba, by Cosette's Cosmetics right above my iris (the colored part of the eye. I had to ask my boyfriend about that. I don't teach science for a reason, people) to make me look awake.

Cosette's Cosmetics is a indie store owned by someone I am happy to now consider a friend.  She is super talented and the products are all vegan and of course, cruelty free.  Jennifer handmakes her creations and honestly, I haven't seen shadows as uber sparkly as these!  (BTW: in case you've clicked the link, the shop is currently closed but she plans to re-open soon with new colors...I can't wait!!!)

I currently have three Cosette's products:

  • Goomba, full size
  • Tron, full size
  • Moonrocks, sample
Goomba is school approved, LOL, the others I save for non-school days!

First up is Goomba.

I bought a second one because I wear it every day.  I've had it for a couple months though, and I am still on my first tub.  My coloring is medium with dark brown hair and dark eyes.  My Mother recently came to visit and she is fair skinned with blonde hair and green eyes, and she wanted Goomba, too.  (I bought her one but she doesn't know yet!).  This is a sparkly neutral that will look good on every single person.  There is a bit of fallout with the glitter but just do what I do 'cause I'm a rebel - lick your finger first and then dab it on!  Or, use a blush brush to just sweep it off your face.  I am currently digging a shimmery blush anyway, so I am not really concerned with the minimal fallout anyway.

How pretty is Goomba?  I think the name comes from a video game character?  Cute, right?  I love the way this looks.  Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy is a must have for glitter lovers, too.  I will do a Fyrinnae review.  Props to my friend Callie for the Epoxy suggestion and for many other indie suggestions as well.

Next is Tron!  This amazing purple just glistens in the light!

Lastly: Moonrocks!  I discovered this little beauty when it was sent as a free sample with my first order.  This is quite a generous sample!  Shimmer is one love and baby pink is another, so I was instantly in love with this!

It was perfect timing as well because I wanted a brilliant pink to go with a purple dress I wore to a wedding in Puerto Rico in February.  Moonrocks is a cotton candy meets rock and roll color, with shimmer and amazing staying power!  Jennifer is going to release a new collection soon, so when I place my next order, a full size Moonrocks will be included.
A very generous sample!!

Aren't these gorgeous?  Here is a look I did with Tron and Goomba.  I don't remember when I took this but  it was certainly a non-school day!
Inside artificial lighting doesn't do these justice!
I decided to post about these products now because Jennifer has announced that her new collection is coming out soon and I am uber excited!  You can sign up to be notified when the shop opens on etsy if you're interested.

Last photo!  Cosette is Jennifer's darling cat, so all of the packaging has kittehs!  Love it.
Kitteh packaging!
Check out Goomba here!
What do you think of these shadows?
