Happy Fourth Of July: The Mani I Really Did Not Want To Do

Happy 4th of July!

I have begun to think that the national holiday should actually extend from the 2nd through the 4th.  The Declaration of Independence was signed on the 2nd and accepted on the 4th.  I think the best way to honor our country and our freedoms is to celebrate for three full days.  Don't you agree?

Anyway, originally I did not want to do a July 4 manicure because I really dislike blues and reds on my nails, lol.  They are among my least favorite, in fact, right up there with orange!!

The more I thought about it, though, the more I decided to do something patriotic.  If nothing else, I figured that it gives me a good excuse to paint my nails tomorrow if I disliked it.  However, I actually like how they came out.  I think they MAY stay through the weekend, but it is only Wednesday!!

Check it out!  What do you think?

I will update with exact colors later, but the red is Milani, the blue is Sally Hansen, the white is Confetti and white striper by Kiss, the light blue is Sephora/OPI.

The stars are the new Fergie for Wet & Wild - which, in my opinion, is a gloppy, thick formula not even worth the $4 from Walgreens.  I am going to pick the stars out and try to strain the nasty clear base, but I might end up tossing it out.  I have no patience for glitters that I have to hunt and peck for within the bottle!  This is actually why I hesitate to try new indie brands until I hear rave reviews from others.

Happy 4th of July!
